Ingredients

  • 16 oz frozen extra fine green beans
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1-2 tbsp onion powder

Instructions

  1. Pour frozen green beans into a salad spinner. Run cold water over the beans to defrost them. Drain the water. Now spin it to remove excess water.

  2. In a large skillet, melt butter and olive oil together on medium heat.

  3. Add minced garlic to skillet and stir to cook for about 30 seconds.

  4. Add beans to skillet and season with salt, pepper and onion powder. Stir beans with tongs to distribute butter/oil and seasonings well.

  5. Stir often to cook evenly. Cook until the beans are just starting to brown but are still bright green and slightly firm.
